Hi everyone. I'm Savannah. I'm a 14 year old Freshman in lovely Colville, WA. I've always loved snakes, actually any reptiles for that matter I'm mainly interested in corn snakes and many types of pythons, but resently I have a caught a little female Western Terrestrial Garter snake and I'm now instantly in love with the little fellows.

I'm new with garter snakes so please give me any information that may help me with my new quest

Welcome to thamnophis.com, Savannah. It seems that there are quite a few Washintonians who enjoy keeping garter snakes . Here's a nice place to start gathering information about garter snake husbandry (http://www.thamnophis.com/caresheets...ake_Care_Sheet), and you'll find quite a bit more by using the "search" button directly under the "forum" tab, above. There are also many friendly and knowledgable people online who will do their best to answer any other questions that might arise. Hope you like it here,

I would suggest to scroll a bit through the topics and the articles. Take Ricks article as starting point and it will help you a lot. If you still have more questions, don't hesitate to post them. And another welcome to the forum
