    Hello

    I never had much intrest in garters till I saw one in the shop and fell in love with them, and are now one of my fav snakes and hope to get more in the future, here is mine

    I belive he's a plains garter, the shop i got him from it just said garter

    Welcome to the forum.

    Nice looking T.radix. She's a beauty. The size of that head and body girth makes me believe you've got a female there. If you can post a photo of the under side of the tail we can let you know for sure. Here's a link to let you know the kind of photo to post:Sexing Pics.
    T.radix is my favorite garter snake. They seem to live very well with people.
    Careful, before you know it you'll have more.

    Looking at the sexing pics it looks like a male, but will get photos up once i have someone to help me since itts very hard to get a photo with just me.

    I've had him for 3 months, and heis the most entertaining thing to feed, he'll grab the food been offered without hesitation and devour it quickly.
