How has/did everyone decide on names for there snakes?

Chose the names by theme (real people) and behavior.

I've never really used the names, so it was a complete waste of time and energy on my part. :D I've tried, but I just don't feel comfortable referring to them by name.

My snakes are named; T. radix (male) 1. T. radix (female) 1, T.radix (female) 2 and so on. I guess you can figure out where I get the names!:rolleyes:

Just using the sex and a number does seem to be the best solution. :)

i only have two (Sissle & Kia) so find it easy i just called them the first name that popped into my head lol

We have roughly 47 snakes now, they all have names. Usually nake them by appearance or behavior(well, the garters anyway) my best friend also named a few and most of the others are named with themes, based on where they live in the wild or the name of species, eg our royals are Nero, Athena and Cleopatra:D

I think of names I like and if it fits them. (I usually get names I like from
books and movies and other animals I had that died).

My snakes get names when they become breeders.
So you could ask me "Who are farther and mother of this babies?", and I would answere: " Well, this is a son of Viktor and Gerlinde. He´s comming from a good house, has lots of brothers and sisters with beautyful pattern." :D

my 1st 1 was called Dinky and when he dissapeared i replaced him and called the new 1 DinkyII

now i have the 1st 1 back they are mr and mrs dinky
