From what I can tell, it looks like an eastern to me, but i just want some opinions to make sure.

I live in central Ohio. Caught it in the woods under a log. She's a good looking snake so I kept her.

I live in central Ohio. Loveland to be exact. Found her in the woods under a log. She's a good looking snake and never musked or tried to bite so I kept her. She's transitioning to pinkies very smoothly. Just curious what others think she is because I may breed her with a CB flame in the future if I can find one.

It's not a Butler's garter(Thamnophis butleri) or a Plains Garter (T. radix) or Ribbon. I think it is safe to say you have an Eastern Garter (T. sirtalis)

That's what I was thinking. Stripes are on scale rows 2 and 3 from the ventral so I figured it was. Just wanted to be 100% sure

On top of the nice coloration, she has a great temperament. Never musked or tried to bite at all.
