Caught the female and was holding her and saw the male out of the corner of my eye, put her down, grabbed him, and put him next to her. He retreated into a rock crevice and she stayed out. Came back 5 minutes later to find this.

I was actually planning on catching a whole bunch of snakes and just sticking them right there with those two. XD
A man-made snake ball. :O

I've got a feeling this is gonna be a great snaking year. X3
The odd thing is that all the snakes I caught were greenish, but not even close to the colors my babies are. I caught my adults in the garden plots... Maybe there's a separate den and the two color variations stay pretty separate.

Also, many of the females were covered in dirt. They must've just emerged today... I only found 3 or 4 of them, and they were actually concealed most of the time.

Mind you, she's a mere 2 yards from a massive river!

I think all the ones I found yesterday had just emerged from their dens too. They all looked really dull and dirty, and quite a few seemed still a bit sluggish, like they weren't quite fully awake yet!
I'm interested to see what I find when I go back in a few weeks...........
