Re: 100% het schuett 50%het bluegrass babies

Can you shoot me an email address? I think I may have an excellent customer for you for some of those when they are ready to go. He's a veterinarian in Indiana. He might want some of your normals I think.

He doesn't do the forum thing but he pays well and can do it through email exchanges.

    Tom,
That is awesome news! I bred that same male to a definite het for bluegrass female and she is not het for Schuett. If she produces albinos that will prove out the male for bluegrass! Looks like he might already be proven! Let me know how they look as they mature.
    Congrats!

Re: 100% het schuett 50%het bluegrass babies

I'm guessing our females are littermates then Tom, I have a 100% het schuett 50% bluegrass from Eddie too. I didn't have a male with bluegrass gene so I bred my Carteret Co. erythristic shuett albino 66% p.het melanistic to her, so I won't produce any bluegrass but my babies will have a lot of multi het possibilities non the less. I need to get a male with the bluegrass gene and try to prover her out next year and keep some of the babies and breed to each other and see what pops out, would have a shot at bluegrass snows if she is indeed a het.
