    Identification, please.

    A friend posted this one on Facebook and would like an ID. I'm certain it's thamnophis, but am uncertain of the precise species.

    Michigan. From what I've read, there are only two species of garter and one ribbon in that area. This one looks Eastern to me.

    I thought Eastern also. There is also Butler's garter(T. butleri)
