    Re: allmost new arrival

Good grief, what is it with the snow radixes and the huge litters anyway?

Just got my first snow radixes too. Wasn't even sure I liked the look of those "worms" but ended up getting 3 of them anyway, just for the novelty of them.

Well, turns out I really like them. They're quite entertaining. They do funny things sometimes when they don't know I'm looking.

With these little ones, feeding day is almost every day. I just don't let them get so full that they have big bulges. (unless I'm going to be gone for a few days) They're growing very fast. Not many days go by without finding new shed skins. Seems like they shed, then within a week, go into shed again. Now that's fast growing. At this rate, they're going to be big radixes.

Thats how I feed my babies too. Almost everyday. That's best IMO.

I think they get more efficient digestion eating smaller meals often. It's much easier on them to digest a few small bites each day than it is to try and digest a huge lump.

Yeah, I've noticed they digest it a lot faster, and i mean within 12 hours the bulge is gone. Keeps them active too, not weighed down by the fatness. which also helps burning off the food. It does a lot. And IMO is a better feeding choicefor babies than loading them up for a week.

That's beside the point. Because, in case you didn't know, yout can't hold a person over with a pinky once a week.
