I do use nightcrawlers that I buy and I have never used any wild caught food of any kind for my snakes. This is really more of a question out of pure curiosity.

These are the same earthworms you would find digging in the dirt or under a rock, not the red wigglers. I was just wondering if them feeding on the rabbit manure would cause them to be unsafe.

The checkered garter is its own species, thamnophis marcianus. If you are wanting to breed him, then you need to get another checkered. There are a couple of morphs which are granite and pastel.

I actually started them on hairless hoppers last week, and they are taking them very enthusiastically. I tried to upload a video of my female eating her first one but had alot of trouble with it.

I'm sure they will definitely go for the mosquito fish.

I have used mosquito fish to feed northern water snakes. They look pretty much like ugly grey guppies. They are also very easy to breed just like guppies.

My Checkereds have an ambient temp of about 80, and they do just fine. They want to eat a little more often than when they had cooler temps, but other than that they are doing great.

I'm not going to take sides or anything if this becomes an argument, but he was referring to an old episode of Southpark that just so happened to have the name "Big Gay Al's Animal Sanctuary" in it....
