its crazy im just now starting to build a collection after 6 years plus of interest in garter snakes i cant wait to see how big my collection is in the next 6 years id like to eventfully have at least one of every species for a personal collection if possible become a breeder like the king pen that got me so interested in garter snakes after years of collecting them out of the fields and forest areas behind my patents house (Scott Felzer) its too bad your no longer a part of the garter snake community l hope to hear from you in the future if any way possible i still to this day remember our first and only conversation over the phone about how to take care of the first garter snake i ever kept as a pet i was only 14 and it was a wc northwestern i caught in a area that is now covered by a water company not to far from the house me and my soon to be wife live in now im not sure what snake i was going to get from you but my mom and dad promised me if i kept it for 2 years they would buy me a garter snake from you well i ended up with bad grads the following year and my dad let it go told me i needed to grow up and take care of my responsibility and when i was grown i could own all the snakes i wanted it sucked but he was right about 2 years later i was given a free checkerd garter from a local pet store moved out had a baby and could no longer give her the time and love needed so i ended giving her to a guy i know that breeds ball pythons years go buy i now have my own house 3 kids and an amazing girl on my side that now loves garter snakes as well not as much as me lol but close anyhow we are financially stable have the space and time and are ready to grow our collection im glad the bloodline's you've provided the community with still are available and still being produced to this day ive had the pleasure of working with some of the current breeders including Tommy T.Radix Don Belnaps and Shaun Hayes all were a pleasure to work with and plan to continue to do business with for the years to come hope to expand the list of breeders i work with as well hopefully have similar exchanges
