    I'm still alive - Update

I realized it's been some time since I posted here. Life got very busy with my photography business and a full time overnight job.

I've still got all my garters although a few of my older ones...

Re: I have a cannibal snake

I dont think they can digest other snakes, hence why they usually regurgiate or die after eating a bigger snake.

    Wanted: Florida Blue, Puget Sound

My friend is looking to get a garter and she's interested in those. Florida Blues and Puget Sounds.

It's early but I'd see if anyone's got any yet.

Budget isn't huge. Adult or baby works.

Re: I guess he just wanted a friend...

    definitely

the two babies I housed alone were flighty and didn't eat much until I put them together, then they were perfectly calm and fearless and ate relentlessly for the rest of their days.

I'm watching a baseball game as I type this and the sponsor behind the plate is petco. Taunting me.

    Re: Eating Problems

I missed the part where you cut the worms. my bad.

We can ponder the causes of his throwing up all week but it's pointless if you're feeding the snake that much food.

Feed him what he can eat...
  18. Re: Picky eater; preference of where to get fish!

I'm not a fan of either either. But all the petcos I've been to, especially the one near me, takes the worst care of their animals I've ever seen from a pet store. They have a green tree python right...
  19. Re: Picky eater; preference of where to get fish!

I didn't say the market is healthier than the silversides, I meant fillets from a market are more quality than fillets from Walmart or Target, which have killed snakes.

    Frozen silversides rock. I...

    Re: Eating Problems

He might as well be starving. That's not enough food. You need to make time to feed him every few days if you're only feeding a worm.

About the throwing up - is he really throwing up? One of my...

  24. Re: Picky eater; preference of where to get fish!

"rosy feeders" are rosy red minnows. Don't feed those. You can use them to scent though.

I buy tilapia fillets from Trader Joe's. My snakes prefer them over the silversides. I've never bought it...

Re: My Pastel Checkerds and my infernalis

yeah they've always been on my list, for the attitude as much as anything, but never got one.. I need some breeding partners for the snakes I and I may just buy a pair of infernalis too.
