Re: "Lucky" the first snake of the year

Keep him going Don. Mine is coming up on 1 year old and is doing really well. Glad he's with you. It's tough enough being a snake but be a snake with a disability has to be even worse. Maybe someday your Lucky and my Krinkleback will meet.

Take good care of him, he deserves a loving home.

Oh. Because you know, it seems to me that, aside
from being a little mentally ill, she's pretty normal.

bad news........Lucky lost his battle this week and passed away....

gave it a try, at least he made it thru the summer, may not have lasted thru spring out on his own.

    Don,
That is terrible news. Thanks for giving the little one a chance. Those special needs snakes are worth the effort. If not for them, for us. Thanks.

If you don't mind me asking, was it just the disease that killed him? Failure to thrive? Or one of those unknowns.

Re: "Lucky" the first snake of the year

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss of Lucky. Do you know how old he was? I have one that is crinkled from Stewie's litter this August. Mine is not as bad as yours and Steve's though. This baby is a great eater and can be very agressive at dinner time (actually chases down siblings to steal food out of their mouths!) Appears to be doing very well and shedding fine, though I did need to help last time.
