Hi! Sorry if this is in the wrong section, feel free to move if it is. I need some tips on switching a baby Nerodia fasciata pictiventris onto f/t fish.
Currently hes on live guppies, which are a pain in the butt to find and i do understand often carry parasites. Ive tried leaving ft silverside chunks and whole guppies in the enclsoure and leaving him alone. Ive tried to tease feed but hes afraid of the tongs. I haven't gotten around to grabbing any frog legs to try yet and he does not eat rodent. I have tried making basically a fish slurry of water from a guppy tank and dead guppies and silverside and ive been using that to try to boost the scent of the f/t fish but it's a no-go, though it worked amazingly for my juveniles(so much so it only took a month to get them on unscented lol).
I just cant get this baby to eat f/t anything but id love to get him off of the live guppies so i can treat him for parasites... i figured yall might be able to help due to the similarity to garters
