    Brumation

Just out of curiosity I have a new male and female for close to a month now was wondering if I don’t brumate then I shouldn’t have to worry about breeding or I’m wrong. Just everything I’ve been researching says brumation is key.

I have had multiple species of Thamnophis breed without ever being cooled.

Good to know. I’m from Nj myself good to see a fellow Garden stater lol. But I was thinking maybe to expand my collection if they do breed I would be excited. Buying them seems to get expensive.

Nature always finds a way. Cooled or not garters will breed

Lol Good maybe lol just don’t wanna cool them as I haven’t had them long enough to know how good they were treated and how healthy they were before me. Would like to expand my collection without buying more lol
