2 weeks ago I was in the laundry room when I spotted a young(1st year) radix on the floor. This snake was very skinny and dehydrated. Just another wild radix that made its way into the basement....

Mine started eating after a few months. I would wait and try not to stress :) Now he's a super hungry guy, lunging for the pinkies as soon as they get near him.

Oh, I didn't realize he'd been getting hoppers. Mice digest much more slowly than fish or nightcrawlers; the more developed the mouse the more slowly I imagine it'd digest. He might just not be...

What are the indoor temperatures where you live? Does the snake get artificial lighting at night? It might be going off feed for brumation.

I'd say switch to spiral bulbs for the summer time. They put out a good bit of light, but hardly any heat. I wouldn't heat the cage at night, unless it gets down into the 60s in there.

I don't think supervised enrichment time in a carefully pre-examined play area is likely to cause any harm, especially in a very 'tame' park. Do watch out for idiots w unleashed dogs.
