Biography:

Well what is there to say about me. Hmmm well ok I will start with pets, seems fitting. I have had many pets before now but they have always been family pets, we have had three dogs, two cats, a million hamsters, three gerbils, three rats and a bunch of fish.
Then the first pet I got of my own was a canary called Millicent who flew away after I stupidly got him out to show my niece and didn't realise the back door was open DUH! Then I got two zebra finches, such cute and amusing little things but they fought and unfortunately one died :( so the other one was lonely, got depressed and died. Silly birds. I figured I wasn't cut out to look after pets after that and then the cats died and the dogs died (of old age!) so gave up and haven't had any pet in my house for about three years now.
Then my brother asked me one day if I wanted a snake, I said yes if it's free joking and thinking nothing of it. The next day he comes round and drops this snake off! At first I was like "aww man I have to look after this thing now!" Which I know sounds awful! But once I got reading about them and watched him I instantly grew to absolutely adore him and have this new found great fondness for garters!
Manny is the first snake I have had, he is a red sided garter snake (thamnophis sirtalis parietalis) and is beautiful, friendly, loves to burrow in my hair and is the best pet I have had so far! I have gone from partially disliking pets to being a proud owner of a snake and plan to have more!
Other then pets, I live in a quiet quite boring part of Lancashire, I am a creative media/art and design student although not studying at the moment. I live at home with my dad who doesn’t seem so impressed by Manny, my room is tiny but I love it I guess just how snakes love tiny hidey holes! I love taking pictures of everything and as you can see in some of my profile picture a wall of my room that is covered in photos. I am very creative, as the photo wall and my crazy ideas show. I can’t help but make adjustments to everything I own even brand new things like my new vivarium which I will be posting pictures of soon! So keep your eye out for that, I may need some advice! :)
