    good to know, I suppose I could always try smashing the snails open and cutting them up, its gross but they are the most reliable find in my yard.

    Would it be possible to feed them ground chicken? Or clams? I figure they are the closest analog to amphibians and slugs that I am able to buy. It would certainly make things much easier.
