Sorry to here that, Ihave just had my female san fransisco garter die, (whilst it was in someone else's care). I once had a Cali King go missing for months when I was a kid and it turned up under my bed!

Still no sign of her, she HAS to be in the basement. The good news is, there is a small leak in the hot water tank so there is a constant supply of water down there for her, and since it's cool, her metabolism will be slowed and therefore I have the maximum amount of time to find her!!! This weekend I am setting up basking spots and swimming pools in four places down there. I am still hopeful!!

Here is what you do. Place shallow water bowls at strategic points around your house where the snake can access (if you need to consider the question of whether or not your snake can get there, the answer is Yes). Check those several times a day. Also, placing heat lamps at strategic places does the same thing.

trust me, with over 100 snakes I have had my fair share of escapes!!! That, is exactly what I planned on doing. as well as using sprinkled flour around those areas so I can see if she's been there.

I'm sure you'll find her. I've had a milksnake trapped in my oven since Memorial Day and it's still hanging in there without access to food or water. A rescue is on Monday, no worries, but the little fellas are so resilient! If I'd known it was still under there, I'd have given it some water ages ago!

I wouldn't be too worried if you're sure she's in your house.
