This is Crush And Claudia.. The lady Loved them like her own kids.. Just she was starting her job and now is a mother of a BEAUTIFUL 2 month old and didn't think she could take care of the job, tortoises and her daughter.. That's where she asked me if i could take them in.. These are permanent part of our family so ill post pics of them as the grow..

The bigger one is a male.. His name is Crush.. He's about 10 to 15 lbs.. And VERY tame.. Here he is..






This is Claudia.. She's a little more timed then crush but warms up GREAT after a while.. Here she is:





I am VERY aware that they live a LONG time and what the requirements are to houses these tortoises..

yeah they seem VERY healthy.. i cant wait till they get even bigger.. The way they walk just amazes me..They are big clumsy looking reptiles but they actually really graceful.. Their legs down to their feet remind me of a elephants legs and feet (only with spikes) because of how they are made lol SOOOO CUTE!! Their faces remind me of ET for some reason too lol.. LOVE those little faces..

Crush is 5-6 years old

Claudia is between 1-2 years old..

Here's what i found on their growth:
Adults are usually 18 inches (45 cm) in shell length, and weigh 70 to 100 pounds. Specimens with 24 to 36 inch long (60-90 cm) shells weighing 150 pounds (70 kg) are not unknown. They grow from hatching size (2-3 inches) very quickly, reaching 6-10 inches (15-25 cm) within the first few years of their lives. The oldest known of this species was 56 years old although it is believed they can live up to about 80 years.

awwwwwwwwwww soooo CUTE!!!! I wish I can have a big tortoise but I dont have enough room But im happy to have a Russian Tort. She is 6 months old now and is getting bigger. She is tamed also and eats outta my hand. She has the ET look LOL. She loves her head rubbed. I love her lots

Yeah they eat out of my hand as well as like getting there chin and top of there head rubbed.. they should have named crush TANK as well because he walks over EVERYTHING even my feet if i don't watch him lol

They are like kids as well they put everything in their mouths.. always biting at objects on the ground.. VERY curious little creatures...
