78 in B.C. ? no way! It isn't nearly that warm even in Los Angeles and it's only in the 50's in SW Washington. . must have screwed up on the conversion to F. I just checked Vancouver B.C. and it's 43 F.

    Awesome ordie you got there!

Yikes. Sunny mid 60's here the coming week. Trees are full of blossoms, daffodils and tulips are in bloom, and snakes are on the prowl for mates.

The males are starting to emerge in Michigan!!!
Walked the tracks this afternoon and saw an eastern male by the tracks, and a male T. Butlerii at the edge of the meadow.
Both were *extremely* sluggish and easily picked up. I saw ea h back under cover and tried for some phone pis-Ill try to upload but they are probably lousy.
40's, snow still hanging on in patches, but they're moving!!!

It was only 78 that one day, and that was the air temperature at 1:30 pm on Vancouver Island. We get a little more sporadic weather when it comes to wind and sunshine then the mainland does, exlcuding the interior.
