Char also got this nice book, "The garter snake at Willow Creek Lane". Not exactly what you'd consider informative, but it will be good subject matter when Joseph's reading gets to that sort of level.

Before it was delivered Char showed me a picture of the cover on Amazon and said she thought it was a radix or checkered, my response "Nah. That's an Eastern".

I'm reading Tân ar y comin T.Llew Jones and Men at arms by Terry Pratchett. As the stories going it might pass Small Gods as my favourite Pratchett book.

"Men at Arms" is a better Discworld novel than "Small Gods".

You reminded me that I'd seen this recently:
    http://www.lspace.org/books/reading-...-guide-1-5.pdf
It's missing the latest few, but it's generally a good illustration of the different Discworld story threads and how they relate.

On my reading list for later in the year is Raising Steam:

I've also just finished reading "Along came a spider" by James Patterson, the book is quite different to the film (with Morgan Freeman playing the lead) but both book and film were enjoyable.

Received this in the mail as a gift from the book's illustrator. My friend Mark did a great job.
