    New Babies Came In!...Pics

    Hello Everyone,

The last time I posted on the forum I was in the process of determining what type of caging I was going to use for the baby garters as I have not kept garter snakes for a long while and the one I had before had grown to a good size before it was in my care. Anyway, I built a shelf system with shoebox type tubs and heat tape on a thermostat for the little ones. I am on a tight schedule right now, so I will just post pictures of the females of each type for now. Please pardon the bad tub pics and I included a quarter in some of the pictures for size reference. All were purchased from Scott Felzer and he is a great guy to deal with

Scott's Garter - Thamnophis Eques Scotti
I have a pair of this Mexican species

Neon Blue California Red Sided Garter - T. Infernalis
I have a pair of these and they should color up nicely into adulthood with that vibrant blue color coming out more

On to the Next one to post more pics
    - Phil

Blue Puget Sound Garter - Thamnophis sirtalis pickeringi
I have this lone female for now and hope to get a male next year. She would not sit still for good pics!

    Thanks for looking
