    New additions to the thamly

Hey community, picked up a new pair of eastern blacknecks on Sunday from Kevin Luzzi. Beautiful pair. Also picked up a new single female Calif. red sided to enhance my plans for the future and ensure a different bloodline. Thanks to Jay R aka Invisible snake. Pics to follow later.

Thank you Z, I heard they can be a challenge when it comes to feeding and I have found that to be true so far. However I have a few tricks up my sleeve for them. They have taken live guppies so far but I am trying to get them on scented pinky parts.

eastern2.jpgeastern1.JPGT.C. occelatus 0.1 (right). These guys are vicious when they grab their prey! 2 months old now. The breeder said they were raised on mosquito larvae but were taking chopped rosies when I received them. Can't wait till they get some size on them. Actually the male shed on Tuesday. They both took mollies (live) yesterday.

IMG_1913.JPGI thought this girl was amazing! Picked her out from the three that I saw. Hoping she can hold her own growing up. She surely has potential as do my other infernalis. I think I can get her started on unscented pink parts next feeding.

Yeah, looked it up and its a pretty pricy food item and I thought I was going to have to invest in it. But I started out scenting the food dish with toad (inside and out), then placed live mollies inside. What a feeding response once they get wind of the right food. They did not want nightcrawlers or unscented pinky parts at this point. I think it was a combination of the smell of the toad and the rapid flopping of the mollies.

So do the larvae not have chitin?
