It snowed in Iowa! red-sideds that is!

this litter is from a snow red-sided bred to the same, so all the babies are snow red-sided. This girl went a bit early I am affraid, she had been pacing the tube for the last week or so and stopped eating a couple weeks ago so I was worried about her, and sure enough she thru several jelly beans (unfertile eggs) and there were 5 fully developed stillborns, the great news in there were 4 perfectly healthy live snow babies born. One of them is very pale, the others are very pink

Oh. Because you know, it seems to me that, aside

Yeah, don't get me wrong folks I'm not whining or complaining, I'm just stating the whole story, the cold hard facts, the truth about the litters, without any sugar coating or reporting only the good news and leaving out the rest, but rather the good, bad and ugly, as such is life. And I'm thankful for my blessings everyday whatever they may be, big or small.

I actually appreciate it, Jeff. It's nice to know what is involved and that things don't always work out perfectly. I personally just never know quite what to say... I mean the losses suck and there's no getting around that... but those pink little worms are kind of cute

Tom, I would say they are more pink than white and they don't get any white-sh yellowing and striping like the plains snow, at least the 2 that I have, there really isn't any pattern or color at all. I will post picts of the parents for you maybe tomarrow.

Nothing else it was a snow to snow breeding, so that was all that was expected. My albino female and 2 double het females are still due to have babies, should have a nice variety from those 3 females though.
