I've been involved in snakes for just over a year and I've noticed something from the forums and the shows I've gone to. Corns, kings and milks seem to be introductory to the snake owning public before you move on to the really big stuff, ya know the LARGE SNAKES.

I really don't care about the bigger breeds. ( I think this reassures my hubby! ) I tell my family and friends that I have no interest in owning anything big enough to eat your dog, cat or kid! The general public seems to think the only snakes people keep as pets are the real big ones! There's plenty of interesting snakes out there that never get that big. I personally would LOVE to try ringnecks but everything I've read says they're too fragile and do not take well to captivity.

What does everyone else feel?
