Unhappy Suprise You Don't Hope For...

Well I spent five hours in town with my family yesterday and I came home to find Singapore had a baby! Sad news was it was obvious the little youngster didn't make it. There were several other sacks but the one was the only occupied. Curious I cut out the baby to have a look. I knew it was deceased but you still have that hope that it would revive once out of the sack. Nope. The eyes were clouded. Once I inserted the blade and began scooping out the fluids a faint dead smell fumed. The insides were still incredibly moist and gooey, as were the other sacks. Singy must not have passed them not too long before I arrived back home. It was my first "dissection", if you will, and I'm pleased to report that I didn't cut or chop the baby. I'm still thrilled she'd gotten pregnant with Charlie, I just wish the results would've been more positive. I cleared out rest of the sacks and put Charlie back in with her. Good idea or too soon? Dumb question maybe but do female snakes need a while to recover from a birth or miscarry before mating like humans? I'm still new to the snake breeding.
