I missed most of the middle of this thread. I hope to attend, and have lots of connections in the field herping realm withen North America. I'm sure we'll find lots of garters. Maybe me and Jason can car pool? Anyhow, I don't think this has been suggested; perhaps because it's sooooo obvious. How about meeting at the Narcisse snake dens in the spring. When it comes to thamnophis, it just doesn't get any better than that. The Manitoba Herp Society attends there each year and maybe we could let them know we are coming; I"m sure they'd be able to offer help with accomodations ect. I know of dens from 3 species in western Canada if that becomes an appealing place instead; but my vote is still for Narcisse. Lots of other herps in the area as well.
