As I pulled into our kingdom hall parking lot this afternoon I saw a rather large female garter on the concrete. I went and picked her up and brought her to a near by creek away from traffic so she wouldn't get run over. She was a bit grumpy. Tried to bite me at least a dozen times. But she calmed down after a bit. I can't help but wonder if she had just given birth because her back half of her body seemed rather flattened out. I could be mistaken though since I've never seen a pregnant snake. She was quite pretty though
