    Re: Waiting

I will never forget the day I was sitting, looking at a gravid eastern I had, and thinking Uh oh she's gonna poop! And a baby popped out! I didn't see any contractions or anything... just all the sudden... there was a baby! Couldn't beleive my luck. I got to see her have them all

I've never missed a birth but then, my concinnus female always showed signs it was happening long before it began.

Wow, that must have been great ... I've never been present at a kitten delivery although there were a few at my mum's house at the time.

    What happened last year?

It was great, she did an excellent Job, kinda gross, as she ate all the blood, umbilical corn and other shizzle which came out. This was because it is high in protein and helps her make milk

    Re: Waiting

Last birth experience I had, I ended up with the most precious best friend of my entire life. Bridget, my orange pomeranian gave birth at around 5am to 2 sable puppies. A boy and a girl while I was sleeping. By noon they were clean, dry, and nursing. I figure she's done and was about to go take a nap when a very tiny black blob plopped out with no warning whatsoever. It was a runt and wasn't moving or breathing. Took quite a bit of time stimulating him but he finally came to life. Turns out he was a black and tan just like his father. To this day he's my favorite. Best dog I've ever had. You can see him here: http://www.thamnophis.com/forum/show...&postcount=737
