Sounds good but you could also add a snack like worms in the middle of those days

Hey Steve, this is of course the first year I've ever had radixes, and even though they are both Iowa albinos, I'm experiencing the same thing. They just can't get enough to eat! little porkers!

I dare not feed them every time they are willing, because they are nearly always willing to eat!

Mama is quite the "porker" I didnt think such a small garter would eat a whole fuzzy but she did and wanted more the next day haha. I had to cut down her food intake, I was getting worried about her health. I don't need an obese garter snake hogging up all my pinkies and fuzzies

Radixes are good eaters. They don't like to pass up an opportunity to eat. They will play the "I'm starving" card every time. Don't fall for it.
Look them right in the eyes and tell them..............Oh, who am I kidding. Get them a worm.
I think it was James who once said radixes are "garbage guts", well said.

I was going to say "who are you kidding?" then you said it for me. Yeah, I keep telling myself, OK, I'm going to wait 4 or 5 days but then I give in after 2. The boy named Amy is no longer a baby and he's getting kinda fat. I know I'm going to have to cut back the feedings but it's hard to do when I open the screen top and he comes rushing out with his mouth open.

They are little begging machine. Let's not forget the mind control powers they have.
I have a few big girls that know if they come and beg at the screen they will get carried to the worm box where they can pick out a worm for themselves.
Then, it's over to the feeding table for a quick clean up. Then back to the enclosure before any of the others know what happened.
By then it's too late as a group has gathered at the door with a "where's mine" look on their faces.
