    Thanks.
They're quite uncommon up here & extra rewarding having raised the parents up from wee babies for the last 3 years

Here is question about ringneck snakes. My friend found a baby at the school where she was working. She thought I might like it so she gave it too me! (Oh nooooo! Not a baby!!!!! ) I thought my baby garter was small! This baby is TINY!!!! I would like to release it behind my house after the hurricane because I really don't want to keep it but have read that they eat other snakes! I know that they don't get very large but don't they get big enough to eat baby garters?

I've caught a loooot of ringnecks, adults don't get much bigger than my baby garters.

They do eat snakes, but it's possible to get them to eat worms. Either tiny eathworms, or (UH OH) cut up nightcrawlers.

if he doesn't eat them, just release him. They are a hard snake to keep.

    Here found this.

So the ANSWER was???? The QUESTION was do they eat baby garters? I will not release this snake behind my house if it is going to eat all the baby garters that are born here!

    Oh... i didn't catch that..

Yes, if the garters aren't too small they'll make a meal out of 'em.

So do you even care about care? Thought that was why you posted.

No! You know I shouldn't even attempt to raise a baby snake!! (never raised a human baby either! probably a good thing!! )

oh stop. I bet it's not even a baby. How long is it?

You annoy the crap out of me when you say that. You would do fine raising a baby snake. You DID fine raising a baby snake.

read the second link i posted, scroll down to the feeding if you want. TRY IT.
