Gallons are irrelevant. Floor area is what matters. There's no set rule for the number of snakes you can keep in one enclosure. That's just something you learn to know. You'll know if there's too many.

I can keep 4-8 snakes in a 55 gallon. Depends on the size of the snakes, and more importantly, the social dynamics and number of basking and hiding places. Some snakes just don't get along well and stress out, but another group of different snakes may get along just fine.

Right now, I have no problem keeping (fairly big babies) 3 snow radixes, two albino checkereds, an Iowa albino, and olivia, all in one 10 gallon tank. This of course, would be too little space in about a year.
