Another fave moment, when an injured or sick animal shows full recovery.

    That always makes me happy.

Re: Your favourite moments with snakes.

have just rediscovered another very special moment, when a baby that has been causing concern with his lack of appetite suddenly seems to have discovered the joy of eating, what makes it even stranger is the fact he is coming up for a shed and has opaque eyes but is tucking it away as if it's going out of fashion, i have had the odd adult over the years that would occasionally eat while in this state but have never seen it in a youngster.
Of course me being me, my joy is tinged with the worry that this is a one off and he will go back to his old anorexic habits
    I'm not actually a gynecologist...but i'll take a look.

I feel your pain on that one. I have the same worry each time Bethan eats. She seems to be eating every other feed, so I won't worry until she goes more than a week without eating. Anorexic snakes must be one of the least favourite aspects of keeping keeping them.

I prefer the quiet moments, when everything is working as it should and there is nothing to worry about.

Might be just a really small thing, but I think it's adorable when I'm handling the babies and they wrap the tip of their tail around a finger so that they don't fall. It's always an "awww" moment for me.

Or when a skittish baby first starts really being comfortable with being held.
