    Re: Lexi and Indy

feeding went off without a hitch tonight. they both settled in for the night now.. I've switched from lights on 24/7 to a daytime/nighttime system for lighting and it seems to be working to make them active during the day and nap at night. Love the undertank heaters for helping maintain a good temp even thru the night, with only one overhead light going.. They get a uva/uvb light during the day, and a blue light at night.

    Re: Lexi and Indy

Update: Lexi the female, has now shed twice since i got her and is just over 13 inches long now and a porker lol she never misses an opportunity to eat. Indy the male is quite a bit smaller in length and diameter. I can easily tell them apart now. He eats good but is not a piggy like Lexi is. I havent gotten an accurate length on him but if i would have to guess i would say about 10 inches give or take a bit. He has only shed once since being here. All sheds were clean one piece sheds complete with eye covers and tail tips. Lexi's new favorite spot to sleep is on the very top of her middle plant near the lid, or on the mid level log, or right after a big meal she camps out in the snake cave for a few hours first. Indy is still extremely skittish and prefers to stay hidden most of the time, Lexi is alot more outgoing and loves to explore. Will post some updated pics.

Our youngest NW (3mo) loves sitting way up high on the fake ivy plant. I think because it's closest to the lamp there. It's still really cute though.

Awwww thanks... i love these two soo much. I cant imagine life without them anymore. They bring so much to our lives. Lexi just started with this "perching" a few days ago. I love it though because then we can see her all the time.

You are quite welcome! They are so wonderful. I know how much they have enriched our lives. They provide company, education, and a chuckle now and again. I too wouldn't know what to do without them.

Your snakes are lovely and you have a wonderful home set up for them. I love the idea of the hamster tubes...I am thinking I may try that for my girls...let me know how it goes. I enjoyed reading your posts and look forward to more updates on Indy and Lexi!

I am so thankful that Nick (Hazanga) had these two babies for us to adopt. I sure hope they grow big, happy and healthy and live long long lives with us. My two daughters fight over the shed skin, i have to make them take turns, they take the sheds to school to show to their friends.
