    Now Wayne...I have always thought that the California Red-Sided Garters are the prettiest of all the garters.....but I have heard that their temperaments can be pretty nasty...is that true?

    Of course, my only experience with them is catching WC. Never tried to keep one. Their response is always the same as the one in the video. Doesn't matter if they're only 8 inches long, they're still ferocious and they aren't bluffing like most garters. Also, they don't seem give up the behavior when they realize it isn't working. If they aren't near water, they'll curl up and strike at you rather than flee. It's funny.

    Virtually every Infernalis I have ever had or worked with was nippy and musked a lot.
