I was thinking the same thing with mine Wayne. It is impressive to see the go after it at meal time.

If they're anything like Natrix maura, your reaction doesn't surprise me at all. They'll eat their own weight and won't even look like they have.

It's the ones that ignore food that bother me.

natrix do not seem to know when to stop! I have some garters that will eat a LOT but even they seem to realize at some point that they can't fill themselves up to their neck. Not the natrix!!! They will be stuffed to the gills and still coming at me for more!! Even my subadult male is like that.

So far one of them eats chopped trout just fine, but the other demands living fish, or it won't eat.

The one that eats anything is quite bold, the one that demands life fish is rather shy, go figure.
