The rescues in our area always have lots of piggy siblings for adoption.

My guinea pig did well without a buddy, but as sad as this may sound, when I was a kid he was my only friend... So, he came with me everywhere. He had his own barbie apartment that he liked to wreak havoc on ( he went into it himself, I never actually put him in), got to go outside with me and play in the grass, and got all the little treats he could ever want... And then my mom put him outside and forgot about him, and my dads dog killed him.

Oh my god Chantel...that is horrible. I mean...oh...that is just...sometimes your mother makes me really mad. I'm sorry...but I just have to say that right now. Who puts a child's pet outside and forgets about him? And I understand because I didn't really have many friends when I was little either.

Aquamentus...your cat looks so much like my cat, Ian. And Tress...we don't have a lot of rescues around here that I know of...except for dog and cat rescues. But I think the pet store probably has some of her siblings left.

check craigslist. sometimes you can find some there for cheap. or put an ad up asking for adoption.

It's okay...I'm just going to go over to the pet store and get one of her siblings. I think she would be happy to be reunited with one of them...they aren't expensive at all. It's a little pet store by my house where I get my snake supplies and dog food and stuff. They're a pretty decent place, for a pet store.

that'll work. they're almost $40 here in pet stores. i see them on craigslist from time to time for as low as $10. i actually saw a pair for $20 each the other day and the thought crossed my mind...but, then i thought nope, better not. i'd end up with a guinea pig farm lol.

I saw one in Indy today for $5, but they are usually around $10, and sometimes babies, not just adults.

Saw the most adorable ferret kit at Petco today, but I'm not giving them that much money! They were on sale for $109. Now, I've got three and paid $50 each and got two cages and some bedding with them. NOT spending all that for one!

yea, pet stores are crazy expensive. always better to get directly from a breeder or from someone wanting to adopt out.
