What do you do with your sheds?

I have every single intact shed that any snake has ever had in one of my drawers.

EEewww... creepy.

Mine go in the garbage along with dirty substrate.

.but real snake shed on your nails...that's just gross.

Why? the snake skin and your fingernails are made of the same thing. Keratin.

I guess I'm like Wayne. The novelty wore off years ago and there's just so many of them... I can't really think of a good use for dead keratin. I mean, that's like keeping your fingernail clippings. Why on earth...

But there was a time when I tried to keep the "impressive" ones. The fact is, they don't keep at all. After so long, they just disintegrate, probably due to microbes feeding on it, and oxidization.
