    hey...um i agree with everybody on the whole seperating thing...and it is not hard to do. just take one snake out and put it in a pillow case until the other snake is done feeding ...it saves space..u dont have to feed them both at the exact same time...just save a pinkie or two for the other snake once it is done feeding and then put it in the cage and carefully take out the snake that just ate. I could go into scientific detail as to why garter snakes compete and will attack eachothers food but ill save me the time of having to type it. hope i can help

    I was laughing the other day because there is one sirtalis baby in the huge brood that Tigerlily had (42 total, 40 live) ... that snaps at the other babies even before anyone has food in their mouth! Just the SMELL of the food sets her off!
