I don't mind spiders that stay in their webs and out my way, even if they're in the house. Even if they're black widows. As long as I know where they are, and don't bother them, they don't bother me. I also don't kill them when they are running around if I can avoid it. Unfortunately, those suckers are so fast, it's kill them on sight, or they get away. Also, obviously, on the rare occasion that a widow is seen just roaming around, I don't stand for it. I scoop them up and take them away from the house and drop them outside. I do undertand their importance and would rather not kill them even if they're capable of killing me. I've handled black widows all through my childhood. They're really docile and very reluctant to bite unless a female is guarding an egg sack. If that's the case, just stay the hell out of their space. They do the same for me since they like dark, cool, damp places.
