    Don't feel to bad James, although I haven't lost a Garter I have just lose my Oscar to unknown reasons......... I know how that felt, it was just about a year old, and I've had it from a baby.......it sucked, but we must move on...................

    many diff. kinds of Cichlid foods, almost never any fish if thats what you were thinks......... it is a true mystery on how or why, it was fine eatting and everything, was fine the night before, next morrning went to go feed it like usual and it was dead..........

    yeah because ours when we first started out one of ours died from hole in the head form a gold fish.. I go with minnows from now on...

    although it can be disputed, most people who kept them for a long time and have had lots of experiance with it, have told me hole in the head is
    caused more by the inbalance of nitrates, and nitrites in the water, than form other things like fish, but thats just what I've been told......
