    Udo, I think you should leave the country! There are now at least 3 regulars on this forum who have grown up in Germany but "fled" the country later on, lol. I can't remember if Rhea (drache) said where she was from originally, but I was born in Heidelberg and also lived in the Black Forest and near Stuttgart.

    I used to live around Offenburg ... first in Elgersweier and then in Ebersweier it was nice ... I started my reptile obsessing there when I was about 7 . I would catch lizards and slow-worms and bring them home as 'pets for the night' .

    Offenburg on the Black Forest's door step? I think those woods have a lot to answer for! I lived in Stegen, Dreisamtal. Those two years were some of the most intense of my life and probably shaped the way I feel about animals now. All those nights in the barn with cows, saving kittens, baby mice, bringing home anything that moved and simply couldn't survive without SuperEsther!
