    I have no idea...all I know is that my smelt also smells like cucumber...and they like it (for obvious reasons)

    Sorry, I'm confused... Why do you have a candle on a heatpad?
    And why do snakes like the smell of cucumbers?

    The candle is on the heat pad to provide the scent, without the need for a naked flame. Snakes don't like the smell of cucumber, they like the smell of smelt... which (apparently) smells a little bit like cucumber.
