You can feed nothing but pinks, and if you bought 500, you could continue feeding the snake those until you ran out. The size of the snake doesn't matter. Just because it CAN take fuzzies, hoppers, etc. doesn't mean you have to. Mama can take large fuzzies, but she gets pinkies because it
s cheaper for me to but 3 bags of 100 pinkies than to buy 2 bags of pinkies and 1 bag of 100 fuzzies or hoppers, because she wouldn't eat that many.

And, yeah, timber rattlesnakes for instance, are pretty darn docile. Even in the wild, they're less likely to bite than a LOT of harmless snakes. I've seen people pick them up nice and gently like you'd pick up a pet corn snake and they didn't even seem to mind.

Yeah, same goes for wild rattlesnakes and kings in San Diego. Tame as a CB corn snake and yet you see how most CB kings act. Just watch snakebytesTV. Mean suckers!
