    Re: Baby Boa's

Just read another thread, where there were baby ribbons born. Then I read this thread.

And it occurred to me that here we have "Ribbons and Boas"

All babies are doing well and hissing at me already. They are big babies they were very over due, I think they are between 20 and 24 inches.

Just this morning I was thinking about all these silent snakes and how I have not heard any of mine hiss. I was beginning to think hissing snakes were a myth (only kidding). But can be a bit of a disadvantage that you usually can't hear so many kinds, you'd have no idea if you stepped on one and hurt it for example.

So, stupid question... do garters and corns hiss?

Our northern pine snakes can hiss very loudly, usually while they are eating or in shed and wego near them. My Albino Checkered also hisses at me, shes quite feisty, dunno if shes not been handled much before i got her, but she had babies with her previous owner end of 06 beginning 07 and has a big appetite so i think she expects me to feed her all the time even though you couldnt tell shes hd babies by looking at her.

Congrats on the new little boas! I know I say this every time, but there is just something really cute about baby snakes!

I don't remember hearing my Garters hiss, others may know different. The biggest (loudest) hissers I've known are Cobras, very, very loud! Grass snakes hiss quite a lot when you first catch them too.
