    Thanks for all the good luck wishes. I'll put water & fish in the two bathrooms as well. The house is about 70*F. I keep looking at the heat vents wondering if a snake would venture into such a place, and if it did how I would know and how I would get it out.

    My wife called, and one of the fish is missing. The bowl is on carpeted floor so if the fish just jumped out, I'd suspect it to be dried up nearby, which it isn't. My family is searching the room now.

    snake found! ...while going after another bowl of fish, in another room than before, even though that room was sealed with a towel. Like someone said, you only find them when you are not looking for them, and there they are right out in the open. Thanks for everyones help and best of luck to you, RZL36.
