    females tend to have larger heads, Rook looks like a female because he is not overweight but is somewhat thick-bodied

    Hmmm...Looks a bit male to be honoust.
    The tail apears to be very long and you can see some 'darkness' in its tail, just after the cloaca...

    it does seem to taper quickly right after the vent though, if its possible, can you get a better shot?

    Yes, also true... Well, I'm feeling a bit less stupid, since it does seem to be hard to tell. Our camera only seems to work outdoors in bright sunshine for vent pics, so will have to wait for the appropriate conditions to try for a better shot.

    At least we don't have to keep changing Rook's name every time we determine a new gender!

    yes the darkeness is why we were saying boy, but the tail was so skinny that we were thinking girl..which is why we are so confused lol
