    Yep. Stick an "a" in front of the pigment names and it means that the particular pigment is missing.

    Now do these snakes have to be specifically bred to get these colors or are they also found in the wild? I'm asking because we have some black snakes around here and I am wondering if they may be garters...everyone just calls them black snakes.

    Black Rat snakes and Black Racers can be found along most of the eastern USA as well.
