a wonderful set of photographs indeed!!! that one fly that you showed and said was always eating something... that is called a robber fly! One of my favorite insects, I actually had one as a pet as a kid. Yes they are quite the hunters! They usually catch their prey in midair... but they're not picky!
Mother of many snakes and a beautiful baby girl! I am also a polymer clay artist!

Robber flies are neat....I have found some that are over an inch long!!! oh, that first 'dragonfly", the blue and black one, is a damselfly, similar to dragonflies, but smaller bodies, wings held up behind their back instead of out by their side. we have some cool ones here in Utah that are a sky blue!! neat little bugs!!

Yes, it was just amazing. Never had holidays like that before. I (we, the first 5 days I was alone there) had a house at "the end of the road" far away from the next village. There is just nothing that bothers you, exclusive of wild animals. The water suply is based on a cistern system (out of a tarn) and the electricity comes through solar energy. An interesting thing on it's own for me. Ideally for a simple life and slowing down. Just a dream for me, just what I needed. But why am I talking again, decide on your own, here some shots of the house:

Have a look at the upper rocks on the right side...

...there I'm standing by taking this picture:

A lovely done place behind the house:

And the following view by sitting on the terrace:
