Yup. They want you to try and close it. That X does nothing. Nothing good that is.

I wasn't talking about the "X". I'm talking about boxes that pop up with some sort of message, and usually a button that says "OK" or something like that. What you are actually doing when you click it, is giving a virus or other malware permission to install. Usually clicking the "X" won't get rid of the box. That's because they want you to click the button that says "OK"

Of course, if you do all your browsing using a limited windows account(no admin/install/registry modification rights) like everyone should, you'll be safe from this kind of tactic.

I love process termination... Sometimes if something is being a stubborn donkey on my computer and wont close at all, I terminated the process, and in my manliest voice, say "You have been TERMINATED!"... I have too much fun on my pc...
